My biggest criticism for Kirby games is that they are usually too easy, but now at least there is an extra challenge to be found. These challenges are not that difficult, but meeting the challenge with the fastest possible time is tough. These stones are earned in separate challenges in the worlds. To upgrade the powers, you need rare stones. Even if you have all the powers, the upgrades provide fresh new gameplay elements. The jumping and the powers feel very good and as soon as you have had enough of a certain power, you come into contact with a new power. But the gameplay itself is also top notch. These new powers give Kirby and the Forgotten World a fresh spin. Other objects he uses include: pylons, scaffolding and elevator systems. For example, he sucks up a car and races through the levels. With this new ability, Kirby sucks up entire objects, which he then uses himself. But the new “mouthful” fashion steals the show. The fireballs then suddenly become magma rocks. Also in Waddle Dee Village you upgrade these attacks to a strong version of the power. This way you discover at least 10 different powers. For example, if you come across a fire-breathing enemy, you suck it up and set the place on fire. Kirby, as usual, has the ability to copy enemies' abilities. You reach the end of the game after about 7 hours and if you want to unlock everything you lose double. In these worlds there are also plenty of secrets to discover and quests to fulfill. Each world has its own theme, such as the beach or a gigantic amusement park. The Waddle Dee's are spread over 6 different worlds with an average of 5 levels each. After Kirby is stranded on an island, he hears about the kidnapped Waddle Dee's and decides to help our hero. In Kirby and the Forgotten World, our favorite gumball has to rescue the Waddle Dee's from Waddle Dee Village. I'd love to see a successor for Kirby in full 3D, but if they don't iron these issues out they're doomed to consecutive failure.I think Kirby and the Forgotten World is one of the best platformers since Super Mario Odyssey and I play every level with a smile from ear to ear. Even classic Kirby on the Gameboy didn't play this poorly. and yet I wanted to play through it until the above glaring issues became too unbearable. It's visually cute, has Kirby charm, the setting is almost entirely forgettable with very plain stages. Strict time constraints on treasure road stages that allow for at most one mistake no matter what? Guys what are you doing? Usually Kirby games wait till post game to show their hand like this. 4.6 (29 Reviews) 2 Answered Questions 14.99 Your price for this item is 14.
